Occupying a landmark Nob Hill building offering views of the city and the bay, this grand hotel is a 13-minute walk from Union Square, and 1.3 miles from the shops and restaurants at lively Pier 39. Polished rooms offer designer toiletries and Keurig coffeemakers, plus flat-screen TVs and Wi-Fi (fee); some have pull-out sofas and/or bay views. Plush suites add separate living areas; some have balconies, pool tables or wet bars. Room service is available.
