I want to highlight some extraordinary service I witnessed and received yesterday at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco (Embarcadero). While at the Embarcadero BART station, I came across an elderly couple who were lost and trying to find the hotel. It was pouring rain, and their small umbrellas were not providing much protection. I ran ahead to the hotel to see if I could find assistance. Even though I arrived out of breath and likely looked a bit disheveled from the weather, I was immediately met with kindness and professional care. I found a staff member named Grant and another colleague; I explained the situation and asked if they could provide an umbrella so I could help the couple reach the entrance. Without hesitation, they provided one. What impressed me most was that as soon as I returned with the couple, the staff did not simply stay at their post. They stepped out to meet them, ensuring they were brought in safely and comfortably. Grant and his colleague provided truly exceptional customer service. They are a wonderful reflection of the Hyatt Regency brand, and their genuine kindness made a significant impression. Based on this experience, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone—they truly have good people working there.
