Featuring an ornate Spanish Colonial-style facade, this upscale hotel is a 4-minute walk from Union Square, and a 9-minute walk from BART and Muni Metro trains at Powell Street station and a mile from the Moscone Center. Contemporary rooms provide iPod docks, minibars and flat-screen TVs. Upgraded rooms have pull-out sofas. Luxe suites add separate living rooms with fireplaces; some offer terraces, many have city views. WiFi is available (fee) and pets are welcome (surcharge). There's a hip cocktail lounge and 24/7 fitness facilities, plus meeting rooms and a business center. Breakfast (surcharge) is served in a sophisticated dining room.

Treated us like VIP’s the whole time. Every time we came in, Tuan the bellman greeted us like we were old friends. He hooked us up with chocolate’s and champagne when we came home after a day of sightseeing. The cleaning staff were happy and kind. Our bar tender…. I wish I could remember her name… was super friendly. I highly recommend the fish taco’s… shout out to the kitchen staff.
