This French country-style B&B built in 1910 in the Lower Nob Hill area is a minute from stops for both of the Powell Street cable cars, and a 4-minute walk from the galleries, theaters and boutiques of Union Square. Uniquely furnished rooms for 1-3 guests have free WiFi, TVs with cable channels and en suite bathrooms (some with claw-foot tubs). Each floor, accessed by an updated, turn-of-the-century elevator, is decorated with impressionist art and French memorabilia. A free full American breakfast is served daily in a dining room that by night is a French restaurant adorned with tapestries and murals celebrating the life of Joan of Arc.
